Interpersonal Skill Building

In our programs, we foster empowering experiences for youth and young adults through increasing capacity to make healthy decisions, develop effective communication skills, improve family communication and confidently respond to conflict. We teach the necessary tools to create an atmosphere that fosters strong relationships, and promotes individual and collective self-worth.

Our interpersonal programs provided education, insight, and awareness on the following topics:

  • Knowing yourself—personality style, baggage, expectations, mapping your future
  • Forming and maintaining healthy relationships—knowledge, skills, smart steps
  • Frameworks for assessing relationships and making decisions
  • Recognizing unhealthy relationships and responding to dangerous ones
  • Effective communication and conflict management skills—the same employability skills young people need to succeed at work
  • Intimacy, sexual values, pacing relationships, consent, and sex.
  • Planning for sexual choices
  • Unplanned pregnancy and relationship turbulence through the eyes of a child
  • Success Sequence—how the order of school, commitment, and babies impacts your future
